Wah lau... was driving to work this morning and got the shock of my life.
The Powers that Be had erected an ERP gantry right outside my home! OMG!
So now, once I drive out of my condo compound, I have to pay at least S$0.50?!?!
The arrows on the map shows how I get out of Hume Ave to get to work. I could, in theory, turn left and head towards Hillview Ave instead. But that means I will have to make a gigantic loop just to get back onto Jln Anak Bukit. Extra fuel consumption = ERP charges anyway. Grrrrrrr....
Wah... I better think twice before I drive my car out of our place.
This is the first time I've seen an ERP gantry erected in a residential area. Stupid, stupid, stupid. ERP gantry right at my door step!
For months now, we've noticed workers putting up gigantic metal pillars by the both sides of the road. In the begining, we thought they are building an overhead bridge. But I pointed out to H that the other side of the road's just nothing but a dark forest. Who would want to cross the road to that side? I can't even imagine "what" would want to cross over to this side.
And then today, it was finally revealled - the pillars were meant for supporting the horizontal ERP thing. Bloody. Urgh!
